Noelle's Bike-a-thon report

Today was GREAT!. It was the bike-a-thon. And it was really fun!
I finished the whole thing. (The Cancer Society says it was 58 miles, but my bike computer says it was 62.)
It was cool going over the Ben Franklin Bridge for the first time – especially since I am only 8.
A mile or two after the bridge, my Dad got a flat tire. He was the first person to get a flat.
Kate rode with us until he got it fixed and caught up to us.
My Mom and I stopped at the first rest stop. She got a drink and then we were off.
We rode on and on. Then my Mom’s knee started to hurt. She was in pain. But she kept riding. 17 miles to the next rest stop.
Did I mention it was hot? Well it was.
When we got to the rest stop we went to the bathroom. There was a long line. While we were waiting I grabbed me a banana and jungle cookies for my Mom.
Then we were riding again. It was 19 miles to the next rest stop.
On the way we passed these three boys. And we passed them 6 or 7 times. We were on a roll.
When we got to the third rest stop, we got some bad news. They were all out of sandwiches.
The next rest stop was only 7.5 miles away, so it went fast. On the way there, we passed the boys again.
After the rest stop they passed us and beat us to the finish line.
But we still made it – 58/62 miles.
The End
P.S. There is still time to sponsor us. Just got to assiters.org for details.
