After riding in the morning we finally got started collecting money door to door in our neighborhood.

We went to every house on our street today. But a lot of people weren't home. Hopefully, they'll mail their donations to us.

We really need their help to raise $6,500.

YEA! I got to ride again!

I fianlly got to ride my bike again, today.

I thought those two weeks would never end.

I only rode for about 45 minutes, but my knee didn't hurt!

The 2nd longest ride of my life!!!!!

Today I went on the second longest bike ride of my life, 30.3 miles. The longest was the bike-a-thon last year when I rode 64.

It was also the hardest ride of my life. I took a spill about ½-hour into the ride. I hurt my knee – I got three little dents on it, but no blood. It was really hard to straighten.

After icing down with my Dad’s camelback, and a little Motrin that my Mom brought, I was off riding again.

We rode into Philadelphia, then all the way out to the end of Valley Forge Park, and back to our starting spot in Conshohocken.

When I was riding up the hills, my knee hurt more than normal.

Talk to you later. I have to go to bed now.

It's fund-raising time

Well, we finally started fund-raising today.

We send out some e-mails and got some letters ready to go.

This year our goal is to raise $6,500.

It's more than we've ever raised before. But we have lots of good sponsors. We hope they can help.

My knee hurts

During today's ride my knee was really hurting -- and that's even after not being able to gymnastics and other fun stuff.

Since I've already been to two doctors and was doing everything they said, my Mom and Dad say I have to stop riding for two weeks.

It's going to be a long two weeks.

Oh No!

About a week ago I found out that I had tendonitis in my knee. I was complaining of knee pain for about three weeks, (I’m not a complainer so we knew something was wrong). So we went to the doctor she said it might be a tear and that I should lay off activities for two weeks (here’s where the problem is), the bike-a-thon was only five weeks away, that’s not good. But it wasn’t a tear. They took an x-ray and nothing is wrong bone wise. The orthopedic doctor said it was tendonitis (when a ligament rubs against a joint and the joint gets irritated. Its gets most irritated from repetitive motion, like bicycling.) I still have one more week left of no activities. But I am still going to ride in the bike-a-thon, even if it kills!!! Please sponsor us we need your help!!!!
